The issue of malnutrition is of major concern for countries across the world. While it is a universal problem, children and women living in poverty are the worst affected by it. Due to the pandemic as a lot of people lost their means of livelihood and were further pushed into poverty, it affected their food consumption levels compromising their nutritional health. It also caused disruption in preventive health and nutrition services.Our campaign ‘Feed The Children’ is an attempt towards enhancing education with adequate nutrition - while it is necessary to have underprivileged children attend school, it is also just as important to have them eat regular nutritious meals in a day. It focuses on improving the nutritional status of mothers, infants, and young children to promote holistic development and help them reach their fullest potential. We strive to eliminate hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the government schools and government-aided schools. Ashaa Foundation also aims at countering malnutrition and supporting the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children.Ashaa Foundation has been putting all its efforts towards providing fresh, nutritious and hot meals to children on every single school day. Today, Ashaa Foundation is mass meal provider across 4 states in India. Quality and Food Safety are the first and foremost elements at each of the our kitchens. From our past experience, we have implemented various norms in every area of operations and service delivery. Health and Safety activities are conducted every year to increase hygiene standards and improve the quality.
